The 2020 election cycle was ActBlue’s biggest by every possible metric: Nearly 15 million unique donors gave over $4.8 billion to Democrats, progressive organizations, and nonprofits over the course of the last two years. The small-dollar donor movement grew exponentially as people from coast to coast invested in change, whether that meant supporting activists, protestors, and organizers in their communities, or chipping in to Democrats up and down the ballot, including President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris’ historic campaign. An astounding 71.6% of donors this cycle were first-time givers! And 2020 isn’t the end to this organizing — millions of people now know how easy it is to take action and will continue to be a part of the campaigns and organizations that are fighting to make our country better.
To celebrate all that we have accomplished together in 2019 and 2020, we’ve put together an end-of-cycle recap highlighting some of the incredible milestones in the small-dollar donor movement from the last two years. Check out the site for more!
